FIBRE OPTIC PORT TAPPING

Is a method of monitoring traffic being transmitted and received along a link in a network. This monitored traffic can be analysed afterwards. Passive monitored ports can be added without disruption of the system’s live traffic.
 

Keyed solution

Provides mechanical network security for organizations, which require segregated networks due to privacy or security concerns.

Twelve color-coded key combinations of LC keyed adaptors and connectors prevent unintentional, improper, or unauthorized access to the networks and provide quick and easy network identification. The connector and adapter colours must match, otherwise the connectors will not be physically connected and therefore data cannot be transmitted.

LC Keyed solution is unique. Therefore, it is not possible to insert keyed connector into standard LC adaptor, as well as the standard LC connector is not compatible with LC Keyed adaptor.

Solution for data centres - integration of Keyed solution:

Pre-terminated solutions are often standard for a data centre. This solution reduces time for MACs (moves, adds and changes) in the infrastructure. Very often, multifibre MPO/MTP connectors are being used for this pre-terminated solution. The most popular versions are 12 and 24 fibres MPO/MTP connectors. Passive fibre optic line is created from MPO/MTP cassettes (in the front side usually equipped by LC adaptors) and MPO/MTP trunk cables. MPO/MTP to LC cassettes can be equipped from the front side by standard LC or LC Keyed duplex adaptors. Back side of these cassettes can be equipped by one or two standard MPO/MTP, or MTP Keyed adaptors (or mix of both types).
