Receptacle can be connected directly onto the MIL-DTL-83526 Expanded Beam Plug , and can be therefore used as a quick tool to change the expanded beam port to LC port, by using standard military tactical cables

Receptacle can replace MIL-DTL-83526 expanded beam bulkhead (panel connector). Standard patch cords or tactical patch cords can be connected directly to the LC receptacle ports. Receptacle is therefore more flexible solution as you can change the type of patch cord ( standard or tactical), length, or type of connectors on the side of the hardware.
