PANELS UND MODULARE PANELS MIT xWDM

Wellenlängenmultiplexing ist eine effiziente und kostengünstige Methode, um mehrere Signale über eine einzelne Faser zu übertragen. Jede Wellenlänge (Farbe) transportiert ein separates Signal. Auf diese Weise lässt sich die Kapazität bestehender Glasfaserleitungen erheblich steigern. Es gibt drei Varianten des Wellenlängenmultiplexings:

WDM – Wavelength Division Multiplexing:
Verwendet zwei Wellenlängen – 1310 nm und 1550 nm.

CWDM – Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing:
Verwendet 18 Wellenlängen im Bereich von 1271 nm bis 1611 nm mit einem Kanalabstand von 20 nm.

DWDM – Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing:
Verwendet bis zu 80 Wellenlängen im Bereich von ca. 1528 nm bis 1561 nm mit Kanalabständen von ca. 0,4 nm. Die Kanäle werden in Frequenzen von ca. 196 THz bis 192 THz mit 50 GHz- oder 100 GHz-Abständen angegeben.

OADM – Optical Add/Drop Multiplexer
In Kombination mit einem Optical Add/Drop Multiplexer (OADM) können einzelne Wellenlängen auf dem Weg zwischen den Endpunkten hinzugefügt oder herausgenommen werden. Ein wesentlicher Vorteil der passiven Wellenlängenmultiplex-Technologie ist zudem, dass sie protokoll- und geschwindigkeitsunabhängig ist.
