Die steigende Nachfrage nach höherer Faserdichte erfordert neue High-Density-Glasfaser-Patchkabel. Patchkabel im UniBoot-Design führen zwei Fasern in einem einzigen Kabel und halbieren somit die Kabelmenge beim Verlegen. Die integrierte Push-Pull-Lasche erleichtert die Installation – besonders in engen Bereichen. Die Lasche kann bei Bedarf gekürzt oder vollständig entfernt werden.

Die Konstruktion ermöglicht eine werkzeuglose Umkehrung der Polarität von A-B auf A-A:

Die schwarzen Seitenlaschen am Steckverbindergehäuse von beiden Seiten drücken.
Mit dem Boot das Kabel durch das UniBoot-Gehäuse schieben.
Einen der Steckverbinder um 180° drehen (der zweite dreht sich automatisch mit).
Das UniBoot-Gehäuse um 180° drehen.
Das UniBoot-Gehäuse wieder über die Steckverbinder schieben.
