The ever increasing demand for data bandwidth has led to a massive roll-out of optical fibres in both central and rural areas of Norway. The passive infrastructure has been deployed, awaiting future technology upgrades.
Point to point or point to multipoint networks, Single Family Units or Multi Dwelling Units, we have created a set of product solutions that will secure traffic stability and subscriber satisfaction. The solutions comprise ODF solutions in the ONT, outside splice closures with or without integrated optical splitters, a selection of wall boxes and products for inside optical wiring down to the OLT at the subscriber´s residence.

Connectivity is about connecting optical fibres and consequently, people. We are a major player in the connectivity market in Europe with production facilities in Norway and Slovakia. In 2000 square meters of production area, we have the capacity of offering you 1 million terminations per year.
We do preterminated cables for industrial applications based on NEK606 2016 Code F104 and F101 industry- and ship cables. We do MPO/MTP plug and play devices and we do prewired ODF solutions. For harsh environments and military applications, we have special expertise in making expanded beam solutions based upon the ProBeam series of connectors. And for the Fiber to the antenna, FTTA, we offer LC and MPO connectors in an IP68 sealing, IP-LC and IP-MPO.
Local area networks - LAN
Wiring you data rooms
There are large data rooms, and there are small. The optical highway may go all the way down to your computer or it may convert to a TP road in the data room. In any case, it carries data important to you.
The LAN comprises intra building connections with high quality optical cables, splicing points and termination points. Inside the enterprise buildings you can find traditional network structures based on CPR approved cables. Termination are usually done by splicing of pitails in the ODF. In larger data rooms, and even in smaller, the use of MPO cabling is increasing.
Whatever the structure is, we have developed a set of product solutions. High Density patch panels with up to 144 connections over 1U together with High Density cables for traditional cabling. MPO patch panels or MPO modules, all plug and play. Local production enables us to swift deliveries of MPO trunk cables in any lengths.
Utilizing electricity infrastructures for fibre optical communications.
The use of optical ground wires, OPGW, is a cost effective and secure method for carrying high speed data traffic in long distance regional optical networks.
Operating in remote areas and under severe weather conditions requires simple and effective tools for splicing the OPGW. In cooperation with the national system operator, we have developed a system comprising a racetrack for storing excess length of OPGW and a splice enclosure in stainless steel for splicing the optical fibre.
Our engineers support the system by offering on-site training for entrepreneurs. Several national installers together with international as AFL Telecommunications, Consorzio Italia and Dalekovod, have undertaken the training.
