Foss certified for MMC connector and TMT ferrule termination and assembly

Foss Fibre Optics has achieved US Conec certification for MMC Connector and TMT Ferrule termination and assembly. The certification strengthens our in-house capabilities for manufacturing high-density fiber optic connectivity solutions for data centers and other high-capacity networks.

Foss Fibre Optics, s.r.o. has fulfilled the requirements defined by US Conec TN-1000: MMC-CERT, Version 2.0, receiving certification of competency in MMC Connector and TMT Ferrule Termination and Assembly.

The certification confirms that our production team has received the required training and demonstrated the competency needed to terminate and assemble these connectivity solutions according to US Conec's defined requirements.
 

Higher fiber density for next-generation networks

The MMC connector is designed for Very High Density (VHD) fiber connectivity, providing significantly higher port density than traditional MTP/MPO connectivity. This makes the technology particularly relevant for modern data centers, where increasing fiber counts must be accommodated within limited rack and panel space.

MMC connectivity is designed to support high-speed optical networks, including 400G and 800G applications, as well as evolving next-generation network architectures.

For Foss, the certification means that we can combine US Conec's high-density connectivity technology with our own manufacturing capabilities. This gives our customers access to locally assembled and customized solutions backed by our experience in fiber optic production, testing and quality assurance.
