Since 1984, Foss has developed, manufactured and delivered fiber optic infrastructure solutions for demanding applications. Today, we deliver complete solutions for telecommunications, data centers, industry, space, defense and offshore markets.
Our strength lies in combining our own production and engineering expertise with components and technologies from world-leading suppliers. This enables us to deliver quality-assured, cost-effective and future-ready systems tailored to each customer’s requirements.
Foss has its headquarters and main production facility in Drammen, Norway, with additional offices, warehousing and production facilities in Oslo and Lillesand. We also operate a high-tech manufacturing plant and sales organization in Bratislava, Slovakia, supporting international customers with fiber optic solutions for industry, space, defense and telecommunications.
Across Norway and Slovakia, Foss operates a total of 5,000 m² of production and warehouse facilities. Our annual manufacturing capacity exceeds 4 million terminated fiber optic connectors.
Today, Foss employs 150 people across Norway and Slovakia. Together, we develop and deliver reliable fiber optic solutions built for performance, long service life and future capacity needs.

ProBeam is a fiber connector designed for use in temporary connections. Originally, the system was developed for military applications, but now the industry has also discovered this very robust contact.
Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) is a cost-effective and efficient method for increasing the capacity of existing fiber lines. This is achieved by dividing the fiber into channels with different wavelengths, allowing multiple signals to be transmitted over the same fiber. Each wavelength carries its own signal with full bandwidth. When needed, the systems can be expanded to gradually increase the transmission capacity of the line.
FPD66 is a compact wall box for DIN rail and wall mounting of fiber optic cables. Despite its modest dimensions, the box is designed to maintain the correct fiber bend radius and provide enough working space for installers. For easier installation and service, both the lid and the adapter plate can be removed.
