UNIBOOT LC PATCH CORDS

Requirements for increased packet in ODF require new High Density (HD) optical patch cords. With our new patch cords in UniBoot design, a round 2 mm cable will contain 2 fibre.

Thus, the amount of cable by routing will be halved compared to a traditional 8-digit cable (zip) solution. A round cable is significantly more flexible than the corresponding 8-pole cable. The patch cords are supplied as standard with polarity A-B, but the structure allows to change polarity from A-B to A-A without the use of tools.

In a packed HD panel, the connectors will be so tight that it becomes difficult with links and switches. Our UniBoot LC connectors are therefore delivered with a fork that makes such couplings simple. The fork can be removed if desired, this is especially useful for switching as it otherwise tends to get caught in the other patch cords. Our UniBoot LC cords are manufactured at our factory in Drammen and are available as single-mode OS-2, multi-mode OM-3 and multi-mode OM-4. The patch cords are colored for easy identification, yellow for single mode, turquoise for OM-3 and violet for OM-4.
